Ridgemen end Hornell’s winning streak with DH split

HORNELL, N.Y. — The Hornell Dodgers and the Rochester Ridgemen split a pair of New York Collegiate Baseball League contests on a picture peferct afternoon at Maple City Park. The Dodgers won the opener 5-1 and the Ridgmen rallied for a 12-4 victory in the nightcap.

In the opener, the Dodgers broke a 1-1 tie with three runs in the third inning. Trevor Thompson (Ithaca) connected on a two-RBI single and Steven Goldstein (Kansas) drove in a run on a sacrifice bunt.

Kellen Brown (St. Petersburg) added an insurance run when his infield single scored Garrett Prossner (Baylor) all the way from 2nd.
